Happy Tuesday to all - especially Patti! She is very excited today, as she just received the news that her surgery time has moved from Friday afternoon to Friday morning.
This was very important news for Patti, as she was not happy that she could not eat or drink after midnight.......meaning she would have to suffer throughout the day until her original surgery time of 1pm.
Patti will be heading to the hospital for a 7:45am arrival and a mid-morning surgery. Patti should be out of recovery and in her room by mid-afternoon. I will be sure to update the blog as soon as we know all of the details of how the surgery went and what to expect next, with Patti's permission of course.
Based on all of the testing we've gone through on this journey with Patti and the positive results thus far, we will continue to hold on to the positives :-) Looking forward to the "get well" process and getting Patti back to "Patti".
As most of you know, this has been very stressful for her (mentally). She misses "being normal" and doing what she always did.......going to work, running errands, walking her furry kids, etc. All in good time my sista - all in good time.
Next steps before surgery - Patti will see Dr Doerman (the reconstructive surgeon) on Thursday 9/26 to mark up the "one" that has to go, the one that is done, the defective one only please! Good to hear they double check (no discount for two - hee hee), as we do not want them to take the wrong one away - YIKES!
BIG prayer week here people - give us all you got! 3 more days!!!!!!!!
Thinking positive thoughts and hoping all goes smooth. Hugs and xoxo - Susan
